Hello everyone! I hope you had a nice winter -- wherever you were. If it was in Spokane, it would be hard to imagine that it was good unless you love snow.
I went to a meeting the other night at Sundance. The other people in attendance were representatives of all the golf leagues. Some information that was passed on is as follows:
Peggy and Marv have hired Mollie Thola, an LPGA pro who is going to be the golf pro of record this year at Sundance. Mollie is the pro at Trailhead at Liberty Lake. She will be at Sundance only part-time, but will be available to give clinics and other help when we need her. The golf course will have an Assistant Pro on site and is currently looking at applications for this position. No, Jack is not returning.
Palenque, the restaurant at Sundance, is going to be open for us after Tuesday morning golf. There will be breakfast choices and we will have a menu at the luncheon on April 1. Yea, this will allow us to stay on site and visit after league play.
Our SPRING LUNCHEON will be on April 1 at Palenque. We will begin at 11:00 a.m. at which time we will pay dues and have cocktails. I hope we can begin eating about noon. If you want to golf that day, please make tee times at 1:30 or later. You may order a deli sandwich or hamburger. The price for both is $10, which includes tax and tip. The deli sandwich is a choice of turkey, ham, beef, bread, lettuce, tomato, fountain drink, coffee or iced tea. The hamburger is ¼ pound patty, bun, condiments, fountain drink, coffee or tea. With both choices you may pick 2 side dishes: baked beans, macaroni salad, potato salad, Caesar salad, or green salad. The telephone committee will be calling you for menu choices.
Prices for Golf this year: 9-Hole senior play (Monday-Friday) $15; (Saturday, Sunday, Holiday) $20
Carts for 9 holes is $14.
10-play punch card for a senior is $135.00.
Our club dues remain the same this year. $20 for club membership and $25 for your GHIN dues. (You do not have to belong to the GHIN system to be a member of the Sunrisers).
We are going to have as much fun as last year, with more prizes and drawings. If you have any recommendations for making this a better year just call me.
