TOURNAMENT SCHEDULE – 2008

 

April 1 – Front – STROKE PLAY

April 8 – Back – STROKE PLAY

April 15 – Front – STROKE PLAY

April 22 – Back – STROKE PLAY

April 29 – Front – STROKE PLAY

May 6 – Back – IRONS ONLY

Leave your woods in the car.   Only Irons allowed.  Awards:  Low overall gross and low overall net

May 13 – Front – SUN DANCE TROPHY – 1st Leg

Regular stoke play on two consecutive nights.  Awards:  Lowest total net score (both legs)

May 20 – Back – SUN DANCE TROPHY – 2nd Leg

Regular stoke play on two consecutive nights.  Awards:  Lowest total net score (both legs)

May 27 – Front – BLIND DRAW

Regular stroke play.  At the end of the night the Tournament Chairperson will put all names into a hat and draw out two names to make up a team.  You will be paired with a player you did not play with.  You will find out at the year-end meeting who your team member is and your total score.

Awards:  Low Gross Team and Low Net Team

 

June 3 – Back – COLOR TOURNAMENT -

Prior to tee off, assign a color (as marked on the special scorecard) to each player.  If less than four are in the group, assign two colors to a player so that all colors are assigned.  Regular stroke play.  Handicap will be the average 9-hole handicap for all players in the group.  Each pin will have a colored ribbon attached to it.  The person whose color matches the ribbon is the score you use for the team score.  Awards:  Low Gross Team and Low Net Team

June 10 – Front – PUTTING TOURNAMENT – 1st Leg

Keep track of putts for two weeks (like you’ve been doing all year).  The lowest number of putts for these two weeks will be the winner of this tournament

June 17 – Back – PUTTING TOURNAMENT – 2nd Leg

Keep track of putts for two weeks (like you’ve been doing all year).  The lowest number of putts for these two weeks will be the winner of this tournament

June 24  - Front – Stroke Play

July 1 – Back – Stroke Play

 

July 8 – Front – HANDICAP TOURNAMENT – 1st Leg

Regular Stoke Play.  July 8 handicap is tournament handicap for whole tournament.

Awards:  Low Gross and Lot Net for Each Flight

July 15 – Back – HANDICAP TOURNAMENT – 2nd Leg

Regular Stoke Play.  July 8 handicap is tournament handicap for whole tournament.

Awards:  Low Gross and Lot Net for Each Flight

July 22 – Front – 3 CLUBS & A PUTTER -

Play with only your 3 favorite clubs and your putter.  Leave the rest at home or in your car.

DO NOT POST SCORES in computer.

Awards:  Overall Low Gross and Low net

July 29 – Back – HAWAIIAN FUN NIGHT -

Special Format – Registration and additional fees required.  Fees: $7.00.  Flyers will be sent prior to this event.

August 5 – Front – STROKE PLAY

August 12 – Back – CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP – 1st Leg

Awards:  Low Overall Gross – Champion;

Low Gross and Low net for each flight

August 19 – Front – CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP – 2nd Leg

August 26 – Back – STROKE PLAY

September 2 – Front – SCRAMBLE

Four players max.  Use 1 drive from each player.  All tee off, use best shot and all players play from that spot and subsequent shots (within six inches either way of lie) until in the hole.  Team handicap will be the average 9-hole handicap of all players on the team.
