!!!!!!LET’S GET GROWING!!!!!

Welcome to the 2010 golf season at Sundance Golf Course. I would like to introduce you to the Men’s Club Board for 2010 – 2011 golf season.

Jack Miller: President

Bill Burns: Vice President

Don Farr: Treasurer/Handicap Chairman

J.D. Nelson: Tournament Chairman

John Undercoffler: Secretary

The Board has set the following goals this year and we ask that the membership help us achieve these goals.

1. Increase membership

2. Increase participation in Club tournaments

3. Increase participation in the monthly Men’s Club meetings

To help increase the membership as an incentive we will be giving away a Cobra Driver to the member who signs up the most members. In case of a tie, we will have a drawing for the club. Remember the positives when trolling for new members. Mike and his crew have done a great job on the conditions on the course. The greens have been some of the finest in the area and I am sure the greens will be in tip top shape again this year. Also guys, all new members receive a free round of golf. Talk up our guaranteed tee times three times a week and our net and gross skins games.

1 p.m. Thursday all year

9:30 a.m. Saturdays and Sundays in April and May

8:30 a.m. Saturdays and Sunday in June, July and August

9:30 a.m. Saturdays and Sunday during September to the close of the season

J.D. has put together a fun tournament schedule this year. We have made one major change and this is the club championship. Rather than a two day Saturday and Sunday tournament, it will be two consecutive Saturdays. We hope that this will increase play. Please check enclosed schedule.

Walt and his staff are anxious to get going also. For our opening tournament he will be offering the following specials.

Two Dollar Bud Lights

Three Dollar Well drinks

A fully dressed 1/3 pound cheeseburger and fries

For the low price of $3.95

This is a great deal, let’s all support Walt and his Staff.

Chris has been busy rearranging the pro shop and the biggest change that we will now have, is our computer will be in Chris’s office. This should help with traffic flow and allow other golfers to browse the Pro Shop without us being in the way. Chris has many new items coming in this year. A couple of items that I am looking forward to are the new Taylor made clubs and a wide selection of Bridgestone balls. So stop by the Pro Shop, say hello to Chris, look around and pay your membership dues early.

Marv and Peg have been extremely busy this winter, dealing with the fire that destroyed the maintenance shed and all the headaches of dealing with the insurance companies. I am sure they are anxious to get an early start this year.

In closing I would like everyone to look over the enclosed questionnaire. Please take the time to fill it out and return as this is important to future direction and growth of the Men’s Club. Enclosed you will find a self-addressed envelope.

Thank you, Jack Miller

A note from Don Farr/Treasurer and Handicap Chairman

Welcome to the 2010 golf season from the Sun Dance Men’s Club Treasurer and Handicap Chairman. The active golf season begins on March 1st, running through November 29th and posting of your scores begins March 1st, after the membership dues have been paid. Dues for this year are the same as last year. $45.00 for the regular Member, $25.00 for an Associate member, and $5.00 for a Junior Member. A Junior Member is one that is not over 17 years of age as of January 1st of 2010. Please pay your dues in the Pro Shop or to myself. Again, please complete the application form so we can have the current information on our membership.

If the conditions of the Course warrant it, the “preferred lie” rule may be imposed by a notice posted in the Pro Shop. If you choose to play the “preferred lie” rule, remember that you must mark your ball before picking it up, you may clean the ball and may place the ball within a club length distance from the original ball position no nearer the hole, through the fairway only – not in the “rough” or on the green, or in a hazard and no relief within 36 inches of a tree or the out of bounds markers. Also, if the rule is imposed, scores will still need to be posted for handicap purposes.

I will make every effort to keep membership reactivation current and answer all questions regarding handicaps and local rulings.
